Why Move My Way exists
If you use a wheelchair, the hardest part of going out is often not knowing. Is there a step at the door? Is the lift working? Is the toilet usable? Too often, the only way to find out is to make the trip.
Move My Way helps wheelchair users and people with limited mobility in Malaysia find, navigate to, review and plan trips around accessible places. It covers Malaysia only.
Who is behind it
Move My Way is built by Dhiviyan Sivanathan as a Final Year Project at Raffles University Malaysia, in Johor Bahru. It is a real, working service, not a demo. The Android app is available to download, and the venue directory runs on live data.

Where our venue information comes from
Places in the directory are verified by our team. Accessibility details come from app users and our team. A score is worked out from the accessibility checklist once enough of it has been answered, and reviews from app users count too. See how scores work.
A place that nobody has rated shows “Not rated yet”, never 0%. We would rather tell you we do not know than give you a number we cannot stand behind. In October 2026 we removed all test ratings from the live data, so ratings now build up from real use.
To answer a place’s accessibility questions or review it, app users need to have been there recently. This helps keep the information first-hand.
How we write our guides
- Official sources first. We use Malaysian law, government agencies, public operators and university research, and we list every source at the end of each guide.
- We read the original. We check the gazetted text or the agency’s own document, not another website’s summary of it.
- We say what we do not know. If sources disagree, or we cannot confirm something, the guide says so.
- We separate fact from advice. Our own suggestions are labelled as suggestions.
- We show the date. Each guide shows when its sources were last checked. Fares and rules change, so confirm with the provider before you travel.
Our guides give general information. They are not legal or medical advice.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, please tell us. We would especially like to hear from people who have been to a place or used a service. We will check it and fix what we can confirm.
Advertising
This website carries Google ads, and the app shows one ad banner, on the Explore tab. Ads help cover running costs. They have no part in working out a venue’s score. There are never ads on navigation, arrival, barrier reporting or Compass. Our privacy policy explains how advertising works here.
